Lakeridge Winery & Vineyards is the largest premium winery in Florida, located in Clermont. Founded in 1989, it offers free tours and tastings daily and hosts seasonal festivals including the Harvest Grape Stomp and Jazz & Blues Festival on its 127-acre estate.
Top trails include the Lake Apopka Loop Trail (25+ miles, paved, great birding), Flat Island Preserve (boardwalks through cypress swamp), Seminole State Forest (sections of the Florida Trail), Pine Meadows Conservation Area, and the Clermont Clay Loop for trail running.
Lake County's eastern border is about 25 miles northwest of downtown Orlando. Mount Dora is 40 minutes from Orlando via US-441. Clermont is roughly 30 minutes from Walt Disney World. Tavares and Eustis are about 45 to 50 minutes from Orlando International Airport.
